What is the JustiProof app?JustiProof is a web and mobile app designed to help employees strategically document workplace discrimination and retaliation. We guide you through the process step by step so you don’t find yourself stuck because of confusion, mistakes and frustration. Whether you’re trying to communicate with HR, preparing for an EEOC interview, or seeking legal help, JustiProof helps you build a strong case that’s clear, professional, and hard to ignore.
-
How does the JustiProof app help employees facing workplace discrimination? Most people try to tell their story in the order it happened—but that can make it confusing or easy to dismiss. You might bury the most important detail, you might lose a thread. It can make you feel like giving up. JustiProof prevents that. It helps you collect the right details and evidence, organize it clearly, and summarize your experience in a format that HR, lawyers, and the EEOC use and look for. You bring the truth. We help you tell your story effectively.
-
Does building my timeline with JustiProof guarantee that my case will win?No, unfortunately, no one and no app can guarantee that. What we can do is give you the best shot at being taken seriously. Whether you’re still employed and trying to push HR to act or preparing for legal action, JustiProof will help you tell your story clearly and back it up with evidence.
-
I’m looking for advice on how to protect myself from discrimination. Can JustiProof help?Absolutely. In fact, JustiProof offers multiple options for advice and support. Our Action Toolkit includes a library of free content and guides. If you're looking for a 1:1 consultation or would like to join the Defiance Becomes Her community for support and guidance, you can learn more on our Support and Community page.
-
How can I sign up / log in to JustiProof?JustiProof is available on both the web and mobile devices. You can log in from any browser or download the app for iOS or Android. Use the same email across devices to automatically sync all of your information—no extra steps needed.
-
How do I start documenting with JustiProof? It’s easy to get started. Our built-in wizard guides you through each-step. If you prefer to explore first, check out our full library of how-to guides and product walkthroughs in the Getting Started Guides section.
-
Do I have to add my incidents in order? How do I organize my timeline?Nope. That's one of the best parts of JustiProof - just add incidents as they happen or as you remember them. JustiProof automatically organizes everything in date order and by type of violation for your final report. With JustiProof you don’t have to stress about formatting or chronology - we'll handle all of that for you!
-
Can I upload evidence like emails, messages, or recordings?Yes. On the web app, you can upload files and recordings in any of the following formats: Word Document, PDF, MP4, PNG, and JPG. On mobile, you can upload images directly from your photo library. If the file can be saved in a standard format, it can be uploaded and stored securely. Learn more about uploading evidence in our Introduction to Evidence.
-
How do I export or share my timeline? When you're ready, you can export your full report via MS Word document (web only) or Google Doc. If you choose Google Docs, we'll also create a folder with all your evidence files, neatly labeled and ready to share. Learn more in our Timeline Summary and Report Guide
-
Is JustiProof secure?Yes, your security is our top priority. We use secure authentication, optional but highly-encouraged multi-factor authentication (MFA) , secure session management, and encrypted data in transit and at rest. We’ve earned an A+ security rating because we built this platform knowing what is at stake.
-
Who can see the information stored in JustiProof?Only you. Not even JustiProof owners or employees can see your documentation unless you choose to share it. Everything is encrypted, and fully under your control. Only you decide who sees your report and when.
-
Does JustiProof share my information with third parties?Never. We don’t sell your date or share it with any outside parties Only you (and anyone you choose to share it with) can view your records. Privacy and trust is at the core of what we do here and always will be.
-
Does the JustiProof App include a free trial?Yes! When you sign up for our Free Ally Membership, you can try most premium features - including our report-building wizard, built-in AI support, and adding evidence for one week! The only features not included in the free version are exporting your final report and generating a full automated summary. However, you can see an Example Timeline Report with your free membership.
-
Why should I upgrade to JustiProof Advocate? The Advocate plan ($10/month) unlocks everything to build your full timeline: unlimited incidents, evidence uploads, full use of our AI guidance, and the ability to export and share your full report. It’s the ideal plan if you are actively documenting or planning to take action with HR, lawyers or government agencies like the EEOC or a FEPA.
-
How do I cancel or change my subscription?Memberships are month-to-month and there is no minimum contract, so you may cancel at any time to prevent your plan from renewing the following month. To cancel, open up the JustiProof profile page (on the web app) and select manage membership. You'll be redirected to Stripe where you can cancel. If you subscribed via the mobile app, you can cancel your subscriptions through Apple Subscriptions or Play Store Subscriptions.
About Heather Wallander

Heather Wallander didn’t set out to start a company—she set out to survive.
After more than a year of speaking up about bias, retaliation, and discrimination at a major tech company, she was finally promoted. But the promotion came quietly, with no accountability, no apology, and no end to the retaliation. Days later, Heather resigned—not because she wanted to walk away, but because staying meant risking her mental health, her future, and her values.
Then she did something big: she told the truth. Her resignation post went viral, striking a nerve with thousands of workers who had lived through the same gaslighting, isolation, and silence. Heather realized what she experienced wasn’t rare—it’s routine. 91% of U.S. workers report some form of discrimination, and most workplace misconduct is never addressed.
So in late 2024, Heather turned that viral moment into a mission. She founded JustiProof, a digital platform that helps people document what’s happening at work, understand their rights, and build a case—if they choose to. It’s everything she needed but couldn’t find: a self-protection toolkit for when “the process” turns out to be PR.
JustiProof isn’t about fixing HR—it’s about giving power back to the people HR fails. And it’s not just tech. Across industries, employees are forced to choose between silence or survival. Heather’s work makes space for a third option: clarity, documentation, and a plan.
She’s also building something deeper. In 2025, Heather launched the JustiProof Support Circle—a space for people to share, reflect, and connect. It’s not a movement. It’s something quieter, but just as powerful: community.
Heather believes no one should have to go through this alone. She’s here to offer what she never got: proof that you’re not crazy, you’re not alone, and you can do something about it.
